Project:Learning is an educational consulting firm specializing in instruction and learning, implementing 21st century skills in K-12 classrooms, successfully incorporating technology throughout curriculum, developing and writing curriculum, and creating and using hands-on activities and projects that engage students and create enthusiasm for learning.

Our mission is to improve student achievement through a standards-based approach focusing on collaborative planning and bridging instruction and learning through the use of a variety of assessment techniques leading to powerful feedback and reflection. We help teachers and learners each understand their roles and behaviors that lead to every student achieving their maximum learning potential. We also provide support to school and district administrators and instructional support staff to implement district-wide curriculum focused on student mastery of standards.

Fred Hollingshead can help you, your school, and your district reach your goal of implementing a rich, active, and meaningful curriculum which aligns to the new Common Core State Standards. He is a co-author of NCSM's Great Tasks for Mathematics K-5 and Great Tasks for Mathematics for Mathematics 6-12. He has served on the Kansas state math standards review committee, the Kansas Association of Teachers of Mathematics board of directors, and has presented at the state, regional, and national level.

Fred's recent projects include presenting at the Kansas State Department of Education's Summer Academies helping math teachers across the state transition to the CCSS, facilitating a Technology Rich Classroom grant to implement iPads in six 7th/8th grade math classrooms, and helping to design an intervention math class for middle and high schools. Fred is currently an instructional coach at Shawnee Heights High School in Tecumseh, KS. Shawnee Heights has just entered the final phase of a three year implementation plan to bring a 1-1 iPad initiative to the high school.
